It’s a time to remember the journey it took to accomplish and get to where we are today. it’s a time of celebration is a time to reflect upon those we lost. and most importantly is a time of focus for the future in the fight against AIDS and better care and support for those who are living with the disease.

Welcome to World AIDS Week.

We are more than HIV and AIDS. Believe me there is life beyond status. We are vital to the future of AIDS and most importantly it is vital that everyone of us are there when they announce the cure for AIDS one day. Until then the work is far from done and there are still so many that need love, need support and that need a better way of living through one of the most highly stigmatized and misunderstood diseases of our lifetime.

This Saturday we will host our first Bi-city World AIDS Day Walk at 1 p.m. on 10th and Bay followed by an evening music awards and free barbecue from Country’s Barbecue to St Thomas Episcopal Church from 5 to 8 p.m.. All of this happens December the 1st but most importantly speak about AIDS talk to your kids about AIDS but most importantly become informed become educated and help end the stigma. It takes all of us to conquer AIDS. Because it’s more than just living with the disease it’s a journey for all that we all embark upon together.

The future of HIV care is coming in 2019: beginning in December of this month, we will open our doors for enhanced HIV care. We call it the Debra Smith 2.0 initiative. Come here all the exciting news and join us for a day of celebration for the work that we have achieved together, reflection and focus for a new future and better care, and most importantly a time of remembrance for the pioneers that started this journey back in the 80s. It’s a time for our community to come together and work together for all aspects of the disease. Caregivers patients leadership leaders of faith and anyone out there who wants to help and learn and do more.

As I said before: welcome to World AIDS Day week.

We are prepared to come and speak with you if you want to meet with us and set up a business relationship with us to do your part in the fight against HIV with a partnership that will help provide prevention education support testing and so much more. The biggest hindrance is linkage to care and we have answers for that. 2019 is going to be a great year for all people impacted by HIV and AIDS.

Never lose hope keep the faith and believe in yourself. Always be positive till the cure is here.
