COMING IN 2026 COLGAY'S HAUNTED HOUSE 🎤 ANNOUNCEMENT TIME, COLUMBUS! 🎃 Hey everyone, it’s Jeremy Hobbs from ColGay Pride, and I’ve got something spine-tingling to share with you today. After years of dreaming, planning, and listening to what our community truly wants—we’re finally ready to announce the BIGGEST fundraising event in ColGay Pride history. If you’ve lived in Columbus long enough, you probably remember the legendary Jaycee’s Haunted House. It was a tradition, it was thrilling, and it brought our city together in the spirit of Halloween. But now, it’s gone—and Columbus needs something new. Something bold. Something unforgettable. 👻 That’s why I’m proud to announce that in 2026, ColGay Pride will launch the very first ColGay’s Haunted House! It kicks off the last week of September and runs every Friday and Saturday—and then every night during Halloween week—all the way to October 31st. Yes, we’ll still have our iconic Halloween Festival and party, but this haunted house is going to be a whole new beast. We’re talking scares, laughs, thrills, chills, and a whole lot of community spirit. 💰 This is a major opportunity to raise funds, build visibility, and create a new Columbus tradition. And guess what? We need YOU to help make it happen. We’re looking for: • Sponsors who want their name tied to this unforgettable experience • Volunteers, actors, performers, and decorators to bring the haunted house to life 📲 If you want to be a sponsor and carry your name through the entire year, text “HauntedPride26” to 706-580-6239. **Colgay Pride: Advocacy for LGBTQ+ Citizens of Columbus**
Colgay Pride is dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community in Columbus. Our mission is to speak out and take action against unjust laws and policies that threaten our community. We believe in the power of collective action and the importance of standing up for what is right.
**Current Challenges:**
- **Trump's Anti-LGBTQ+ Policies:** The recent executive orders and policies from the Trump administration have targeted the rights of transgender individuals and rolled back protections for the LGBTQ+ community. These policies include banning trans-inclusive school policies, cutting federal funding for supportive schools, and promoting discriminatory practices.
- **Impact on Our Community:** These policies have created a hostile environment for LGBTQ+ individuals, making it imperative for us to stand up, speak out, and act up if necessary. Silence is not an option when our rights and dignity are under attack.
**Our Advocacy Efforts:**
- **Speaking Out:** We actively raise awareness about the injustices faced by the LGBTQ+ community through public statements, social media campaigns, and community events.
- **Taking Action:** We organize protests, rallies, and advocacy campaigns to challenge discriminatory laws and policies. Our goal is to create a more inclusive and equitable society for all.

**Colgay Pride LGBTQ+ and Allies Zoom Support Groups**
Join us every week for our Colgay Pride LGBTQ+ and Allies Zoom Support Groups, designed to offer a supportive and understanding environment for everyone. We gather every TUESDAY from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM EST, completely free of charge, to share experiences, offer advice, and uplift each other.
**What We Offer:**
- **Safe Space:** A non-judgmental and welcoming environment for all LGBTQ+ members and allies.
- **Community Support:** Build connections with people who understand and support you.
- **Shared Experiences:** Learn from others’ journeys and share your own to help those who may be struggling.
