2025 PRIDE THEME ART CONTEST

**ColGay Pride Announces the Official Theme for the 2025 Columbus Georgia LGBTQ+ Pride Festival: "Resilience in the Face of Adversity"**

We are thrilled to announce that the official theme for the 2025 Columbus Georgia LGBTQ+ Pride Festival is "Resilience in the Face of Adversity." This theme is particularly fitting for this year's celebration as it encapsulates the strength, courage, and unwavering spirit of our community in the face of ongoing challenges and attacks on our rights.

In recent years, we have witnessed numerous attempts to alienate and deprive LGBTQ+ citizens of their rights. President Trump's administration has been marked by constant attacks and accusations against the LGBTQ+ community and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives and the attacks on gender identity. These actions have included rolling back protections for transgender individuals, attempting to ban transgender people from serving in the military, and undermining DEI programs that promote inclusivity and equality.

Despite these dark times, our community has shown incredible resilience. We have stood together, fought back, and continued to advocate for our rights and the rights of others. This year's theme, "Resilience in the Face of Adversity," serves as a powerful reminder that we must remain vigilant and never give in or give up. We must unite and stand together, supporting one another and celebrating our diversity.

As part of this year's Pride celebration, we are excited to announce the official theme for the T-shirt contest. We invite everyone to submit artwork that depicts the words "Resilience in the Face of Adversity." Your artwork should creatively and boldly represent this theme, using color and design to make a statement. The words of the theme must be included in your design.

You have until May 1, 2025, to submit your artwork. The winner will be decided on May 2nd during a live Board of Directors meeting, where everyone can attend and vote for their favorite artwork. The winning design will be featured on the front of the official 12th Annual Columbus Georgia LGBTQ+ Pride Festival T-shirts and will also be used as the program cover and on other Pride 2025 materials. The winner will also receive a gift card for dinner and shopping.

We are excited about this year's Pride Festival and can't wait to see your entries. Be bold, use color, and make a statement with your artwork. We look forward to seeing your creativity and dedication in the months ahead.
