2024 11th Annual Columbus Georgia LGBTQ+ Pride Festival

We are celebrating the 11th Anniversary of the Columbus Ga LGBTQ+ Pride Festival, and we anticipate this year’s event to be the grandest in the history of Columbus, Georgia. A highlight of our annual celebration is the Parade. In the past ten years, very few groups have created a Float. This year, we encourage you to join us in making the Pride Festival and Parade the most memorable ever. The festivities are scheduled for Saturday, June 1st at 4 PM on Broadway in Uptown Columbus.
We invite HIGH SCHOOL GSAs, colleges, universities, police officers, teachers, faith centers, car dealerships, small and large businesses, men, women, children, straight citizens, LGBTQ+ citizens—essentially EVERYONE—to contribute to making our 11th Anniversary a historic success. SIGN UP TODAY!
Please provide your information below, and we will reach out with all the necessary details. Rest assured, the event is safe and will be escorted by Columbus Police Officers.

PARADE INSTRUCTIONS:
All floats, convoys, cars, trucks, and participants should assemble on the First Avenue/10th side of the street for organization. The parade will commence with marchers and individuals on foot, followed by all non-float vehicles, and finally, floats will take their position.
Groups will move to the 9th and Broadway side upon the arrival of our CPD escort. The parade will begin at 9th and Broadway, continue down Broadway to 13th Street, then reverse direction back to 9th. Depending on weather and attendance, we may complete two circuits.
Please ensure that your floats, banners, signs, and conduct are free from vulgarity, lewd acts, sexual gestures or imagery, and hateful messages. Participants displaying such content or behaving disrespectfully will be removed from the parade.

BEST FLOAT COMPETITION 

 

AT THE END OF THE PARADE WE WILL ANNOUNC E THE WINNER FO THE BEST FLOAT IHN THE PARADE.  YOU WILL RECIEVE A GIFT CERTIFCATE AND A TROPHY FOR THE BEST FLOAT IN THE PRIDE PARADE!

Remember our THEME:  UNITED FOR EQUALITY or UNITE FOR EQUALITY.  Please incorporate this into your designs, signage, floats and clothing.

Please fill out all your information is the form below if you or your organization would like to participate in the Parade.  This parade is for ALL people who wish to join us in our March/Parade for EQUALITY for ALL.    The  COST IS ABSOLUTELY FREE so be sure to get your friends and co workers and join us in solidarity.

BELOW YOU WILL BE ASKED IF YOU UNDERSTAND, AGREE AND WILL COMPLY WITH THIS AGREEMENT:

I wish to take part in the 10th Annual Columbus Georgia LGBTQ+ Pride Parade. I understand that it is my responsibility to follow all rules, laws and regulations set forth by the city of Columbus Georgia, Colgay Pride and Uptown Columbus. I am responsible for the conduct of everyone in my group and undertstand that if anyone in my group fails to follow rules or creates an issue that is demonizing to the spirit of this event all members including myself will be ejected from the parade. I also further acknowledge that I am solely responsible for all members of my group and any vehicles used by our group. If any accident takes place that i verify that I myself am responsible for any damages created by me or my group including all vehicles, floats and signage. I release COLGAY PRIDE, UPTOWN COLUMBUS & THE CITY OF COLUMBUS from all liabilty should an accident occur during the Parade.
